BCI 24 NEWS — England captain Harry Kane said it was the perfect opportunity to leave Tottenham Hotspur following 19 years at the club as he joined German club Bayern Munich on Saturday.
In a video posted on Social - the stage previously known as Twitter - Tottenham's record goalscorer said: "I needed to be quick to let you know Tottenham fans that I'll leave the club today … This is a thank you to every one of my colleagues throughout the long term, every one of my mentors, every one of the supervisors … and in particular a thank you to you, the Tottenham fans … I've given all that I could to do right by you."
Addressing his choice to leave the club only one day before Tottenham's most memorable Head Association round of the time, the 30-year-old said: "I felt like this was an ideal opportunity to leave, I would have rather not gone into the season with a great deal of unsettled future talk."
Not long after the video's delivery, Tottenham posted on its true record on "X" that it had agreed with Bayern for Kane to move to play in Bavaria.
Kane, who has marked a four-year manage Bayern, leaves Tottenham as the club's unequaled record goalscorer - 280 objectives in 435 appearances in all rivalries - having outperformed Tottenham extraordinary Jimmy Greaves' milestone of 266 objectives during last season. Kane made his Bayern debut on Saturday, coming on as a last part substitute in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig. The Munich club was extensively beaten 3-0 after Dani Olmo scored a full go-around.
